large easy to use PowerVac systemOur most popular add-on is the PowerVac system. The PowerVac system is great for all grass and can pick up small twigs, pine needles, and leaves as well. The metal collection tub is durable and can hold 424.8 L or 708 L of grass, depending on the model. You can dump and close the tub from the seat of the mower with the pull or push of a lever. If you are loading the grass and brush into a truck or trailer, you have the option of the electric HighLift hopper with a control that mounts on the drive handle.

The power fold deck also saves space when it comes to hauling and storage of your mower. Most, if not all, the mowers we sell have this option, and it comes standard on most new models.

Logical designs
Grasshopper, more than any mower company we deal with makes parts right the first time and uses them with mower after mower. Almost all units use the same spindle housings, bearings, dust cones, deck wheels, flotation blocks, fuel filters, dust caps, drive arms, fiber washers, and on and on. This means parts normally conceded special order items by other brands are in enough demand to keep on the shelf at all times, getting you back to the grass faster.
In the beginning...
You may have seen a Woods mower that looks a lot like an old Grasshopper but woods orange, it might even have been from us. Claussen Equipment has sold Woods products as a major equipment line for a very long time because of their simplistic design and quality. It's no surprise woods contracted such a similar company, Grasshopper, to make mowers for them. Near the end of the relationship between Woods and Grasshopper our dealership was having trouble getting new units from woods. We needed the mowers our customers heavily requested, so we found the source, Grasshopper. We have proudly sold Grasshoppers ever since.
